6- Corruption:
Types and Causes of corruption, effects of corruption,
approaches to minimizing corruption– role of society, media, family,
whistleblower, UN Convention on Corruption, measuring corruption; Transparency
International etc.
7- Case studies -
based on the contents on the syllabus.
Strategy
Focus of this paper test the candidates’ attitude and approach to issues relating to integrity, probity in public life and his problem solving approach to various issues and conflicts faced by him in dealing with society.
Unlike UPSC Paper 4 which focusses mainly on the practical aspects and checks the ethical knowledge with the help of situational based questions or case study based questions, MPPSC Paper 4 as can be deciphered from the recently conducted MPPSC 2014 Mains focussed mainly on theoretical aspects and the case studies asked were also pretty easy to manage.
All you need to do is to have a good grasp of the various terms mentioned in the syllabus, for this you need to focus on each and every word mentioned in the syllabus as any word could be asked in exam. So you need to have atleast 1 paragraph for each word of the syllabus at the back of your mind which would help you save the time during examination as you can simply focus on writing rather than thinking.
